Having key pieces in your wardrobe and learning how to wear them in various ways helps you to not only stay within your shopping budget but also use your creativity to explore the versatility of a clothing item. Here are three looks I achieved using the same Necessary Clothing crop top which I believe costs me about $15. Talk about more bang for your buck!
In look 1, “Bumble bee: Black and yellow attire” I paired the crop top with a high-waist midi skirt, a blazer for a polished feel and classic black cap toe pumps. An unexpected touch of pink was added with my clutch, bracelet and earrings to break up the yellow theme. I actually wore this outfit to church simply by pulling up the skirt and tucking in the crop top.
For look 2, “All black summer solstice”, I simply added a belt to my high-waist trousers to cinch my waist and finished the look with my leopard print open toe pumps and my favorite Michael Kors Hamilton tote.
With look 3, “Birthday dinner”, I decided to keep my accessories to a minimum because of all the embellishments on the skirt. And in true Versicolor fashion, to add some color to the look, I opted for blue strapped heels which feature a gold heel that matched the skirt’s details to perfection.
