“Something old, something blue”

“Once your faith takes precedence, you no longer worry. When you no longer worry, you no longer fear. When you no longer fear, you no longer have doubts. Once those things are removed, you become a beacon of light which shines so brightly it attracts positive things and people in your life.” – Pascale Rowe

Sometimes us bloggers, we take pictures and we end up not liking any of them so we completely eliminate the blog post. Such was the case with these photos taken back in October. But since I now realize that I’ve been super quiet on this blog, I may as well post something and hope that a handful of you guys will like it. You may have seen those high waisted pants on my last post. They were an awesome thrift find which I also got in black

On other news, I can’t stop thinking about the 239 people that were aboard the missing plane heading to Beijing. We all have so many questions that are still unanswered but no matter what, we can only imagine the pain of those passengers’ loved ones, wandering what exactly happened. So often we take things for granted but it is certain that these things happen as reminders to the rest of us that life is oh so precious and oh so short.

Every time I travel, I make it a mission for me to pray at take off and at landing. To be so many miles up in the air reminds us just how vulnerable we are and how quickly that breath of life can be taken from us. So today, as we keep all passengers and crew members of flight 370 in our prayers, may we also remember to thank God for each and every one of the blessings He has bestowed upon us. May we forgive those who have wronged us. May we be a blessing in the life of those around us. Because tomorrow just may be a little too late.
