I’ve been so busy planning my Florida trip that blogging has been put on the back seat for a little while. I fly out in two days and I have yet to pack and I’m not even done shopping. Sigh!

This is the skirt from Topshop that I ordered to wear for my birthday but it wasn’t delivered until the day after. I love Topshop but their standard delivery is easily 20+ days. Just terrible if you have time constraints! Anyway, when I wore it, I was asked three times if I was African. Lol! I love my African prints but I am very much Haitian. Same motherland though so yeah, I’m kind of African. Continue reading ““Safari fashion””
I have always been on the fence when it comes to wearing high waisted trousers – denim or disco that is. It is one of those trends I always liked to see on others – more specifically girls on the thicker side, but never had the guts to try it myself.
These high-waisted Guess denim have been in my closet for quite a while and by that, I mean years. I don’t recall ever wearing them – not once. I still have not worn them anywhere but decided to snap a few pics after playing dress up over the weekend. Some may think this trend is played out but we all know how things are in the fashion world; it will be back. So tell me what you guys think. Is it a go or make it stop?!
For those of you too afraid to mix prints, wear bright colors from head to toe or even color block with pastels, here is a trend you can easily incorporate into your wardrobe this season: starting with neutral colors (black, white, grey, tan) and adding a touch of neon. The possibilities are endless when it comes to doing this. You can simply dress in black and white and add more of an edge to your outfit by adding neon accessories whether it is a bright statement clutch, gorgeous shoes and even neon jewelry. As you may know, us New Yorkers have been snowed in for a few days and thankfully, I did not have to go to work so I have been hibernating in my PJ’s hence why I have not posted any OOTD (Outfit of the day). However, since Valentine’s day is around the corner, I decided to put together two outfits to give you some ideas on what you can wear either to dinner or wherever else people go with their significant others on Valentine’s day.
The first look: I think this outfit is very simple, with a touch of sexy and definitely easy to recreate without necessarily having to go shopping. The turtle neck sweater dress is from Guess (old) and I just added a pair of suspender tights. To add a pop of color I added a blue clutch from H&M with a fuchsia band and also blue suede cap toe pumps from Aldo. Gold hoops are also from Aldo and the statement ring is from Afaze.
It has been a few days since I posted something. I have been very busy but I have not given up on you all.
I wore this outfit to church last Sunday. Coincidentally enough, I found out that Emerald, my birthstone, was chosen as Color of the year. I really love green in all shades therefore I was happy they chose emerald this year. This skirt is very form fitting and I love the length and zipper details on it. It can actually be opened slightly and give the impression of a split which is really cool; the fact that it costs me only $10 was the icing on the cake 🙂 What appears to be my shirt is actually a dress I purchased for my birthday a couple of years ago. A simple outfit with an edge. Hope you guys like it.
