“Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.” -Arthur Ashe

Hey guys,

This is the skirt from Topshop that I ordered to wear for my birthday but it wasn’t delivered until the day after. I love Topshop but their standard delivery is easily 20+ days. Just terrible if you have time constraints! Anyway, when I wore it, I was asked three times if I was African. Lol! I love my African prints but I am very much Haitian. Same motherland though so yeah, I’m kind of African. Continue reading ““Safari fashion””

Hello everyone,

I am so so sick right now but I refuse to stay in bed and let this cold and stuffy nose get the best of me. So I will try my best to keep this post super short. I hope you guys enjoy the pictures!

“Pretty in pink”

Hello ladies and gents,

This is going to be a super quick post as I am currently on my lunch break at work. This look is my ‘go to’ type of outfit because you simply can never go wrong with a pair of jeans accessorized nicely with a pair of gorgeous heels and a blazer. It’s easy, comfortable and chic.

“High-waisted throwback”

Hey guys!

I have always been on the fence when it comes to wearing high waisted trousers – denim or disco that is. It is one of those trends I always liked to see on others – more specifically girls on the thicker side, but never had the guts to try it myself.

These high-waisted Guess denim have been in my closet for quite a while and by that, I mean years. I don’t recall ever wearing them – not once. I still have not worn them anywhere but decided to snap a few pics after playing dress up over the weekend. Some may think this trend is played out but we all know how things are in the fashion world; it will be back. So tell me what you guys think. Is it a go or make it stop?!

“Color of the year”

Hello loves,

It has been a few days since I posted something. I have been very busy but I have not given up on you all.

I wore this outfit to church last Sunday. Coincidentally enough, I found out that Emerald, my birthstone, was chosen as Color of the year. I really love green in all shades therefore I was happy they chose emerald this year. This skirt is very form fitting and I love the length and zipper details on it. It can actually be opened slightly and give the impression of a split which is really cool; the fact that it costs me only $10 was the icing on the cake 🙂 What appears to be my shirt is actually a dress I purchased for my birthday a couple of years ago. A simple outfit with an edge. Hope you guys like it.

“LBD: Lace Blue Dress”

On January 1st,  I attended my friend’s birthday dinner  in this lace number. The back is actually completely open but I did not get any pictures of it unfortunately. I am not sure where it’s from because I ‘stole’ it from my best friend. That’s what friends are for right?! 🙂

“Launch party”

Versicolor launch1

As midnight hit on 12/05 (the reverse of my birthday 05/12) my blog officially launched, champagne bottles popped open, pictures captured the moment, and I was all smiles and overwhelmed with the support of my loved ones. Despite being tired from work, they all made it their duty to come show their support as I embarked on this new journey. I will forever be thankful to God for blessing me with such a great support system.

“Spiked up”

Hey lovies,

I am blogging on the go today (hence the not so clear pictures) since I went on a mini getaway to celebrate one of my favorite cousin’s birthday. We drove to Atlantic City and stayed at Harrah’s where we partied by the pool last night.

“A Christmas memorial”

Happy holidays to all my readers! 🙂 I hope each and every one of you had an amazing Christmas with your families.

I was definitely thankful for the opportunity to spend quality time with my loved ones on Christmas but nevertheless, I could not get in the holiday spirit much this year due to the senseless killings that have been going on near us, so close to home. I cannot get those 20 innocent children who were victims of the Sandy Hook tragedy out of my mind. How could anyone?!

“Color blocking affair”

I got a lot of compliments on this post where I wore the orange version of these cigarette pants from Gap so I decided to show you guys the blue ones. They are super comfortable and were on sale so I went with both colors. Although I usually wear a size 3 in pants, I had to go with a double zero at Gap and they’re still fairly loose on me. I was definitely not happy about that. **Sigh!**

“VersiGasm: Floral pumps”

I could not stop staring when I first saw this pair of Satin Stripe Floral pumps by none other than the genius luxury shoe designer Giuseppe Zanotti. The floral details, the crystal embellishments and the amazing design all come together beautifully to create this masterpiece. It is not at all surprising that Mr. Zanotti works with experts in many fields, such as jewelers and heel & tree experts, in order to achieve the best quality and most unique designs.

“Battle of the blues”

If it is something I love, it is a bargain. How could you not? In this post, I mentioned wanting a bright colored coat this winter.

As I browsed through H&M’s sale items last week, I saw this royal blue coat with gold zipper accents and I started hyperventilating as I usually do when I stumble upon a good deal. When I checked the price tag, it was 50% off! As you can imagine, I felt like a kid in a candy store and could not wait to put it on. I quickly grabbed both sizes 2 & 4 to see which would fit best. I like my coats to be fitted and sometimes it is very hard for a small girl to find the perfect fit.

Both sizes fitted me just as snug so I went with the 4 to allow extra room for layering. Blue is my favorite color so the decision-making process became that much easier.
