Hello ladies!
There is a myriad of online boutiques on the world wide web but discovering them may not always be an easy task. Since I spend hours browsing the web, shopping in stores and visiting other bloggers’ websites, I have accumulated a decent arsenal of sites that feature products that should cater to everyone’s style.
I also decided to put this list together because the number one question I get in my inbox is: “What’s a good website to get a dress for xyz event?” So hopefully this list will serve as a shopping guide for all your special occasions, whether it is a birthday, a wedding or any other formal event. I hope you find it helpful and if so, please be sure to share it with others and bookmark it for future reference. Here they are, listed in no particular order:
1. Asos
Asos is probably one of my favorite sites ever. They’re always the first place I check for midi dresses and all other kinds of fashionable attire. Not only are their selection of clothes amazing, they have something for every budget. I also love the fact that they offer free shipping and even without upgrading to express delivery, I usually receive my packages within 4 days maximum. Highly recommended! Click here to see my all posts featuring Asos items.
2. Missguided
I discovered this website on Instagram earlier this year and I have been hooked ever since. I really love their dresses and the delivery is fairly quick as well. I suggest always checking their sale items because you are sure to find something stylish at a discounted rate. My Missguided dress can be seen here.
3. Missselfridge
Great site. Gorgeous dresses. Shipping is not as speedy so I recommend ordering ahead of time or opt for express shipping.
4. Zara
Zara, Zara, Zara… This store is made with the ‘budgetnista’ in mind who does not want to sacrifice quality. I make it my mission to ‘inspect’ my nearest Zara store on a weekly basis but when something I want isn’t available in stores, I do not hesitate to resort to their site. Zara’s founder made his fortune by ensuring his customers receive their package in a timely fashion – quicker than their competitors and from my experience, I must say they live up to their mission. I’ve always received my Zara packages within two days of placing my orders. Fast and free delivery is always a plus! Check out my favorite Zara dresshere.
5. Topshop
This is one of those sites that is hazardous to my budget. I love all of their clothing (See my favorite purchase here). As much as I love Topshop, I will be sure to visit their stores instead of ordering online. It took almost a month for me to receive my last order from them but it was worth the wait.
6. NastyGal
I have yet to order from NastyGal so I can’t comment on their shipping but they’re a pretty good site for dresses and other trendy finds for the girl with edgy style.
7. River Island
Many River Island products can be found on Asos’ website but their sites is worth checking out as well. I particularly love their skirts.
8. Boohoo
Another great site for affordable items. Their shoe selection is also pretty fabulous.
9. Lulu’s
Lulu’s products are fabulous, on trend and fairly affordable.
10. CelebBoutique
The perfect site to find something sexy for your special occasion. Their dresses are on the pricey side but I suppose that’s the price you pay for replicas of celebrity dresses.
Tip: Each online store has their own sizing method, so be sure to familiarize yourself with their size guide before placing your order for the first time. The picture below (courtesy of Asos) shows how to take your measurements before comparing them to the size guides. I hope this helps.
As always, thank you all for stopping by and be sure to subscribe by email to receive all future posts directly to your inbox.
Stay fabulous!

I absolutely approve of this shopping guide. I’d add one more site to the list, which is my absolutely favorite and that’s lipsy.co.uk.
