Embroidered off the shoulder top

I hope you’re welcoming the summer months with open arms as I am. A lot has been happening in my world: I celebrated my 30th birthday by having a gala, followed by a week long trip to Thailand. My mom had surgery. My best friend got married. So between traveling, wedding dance rehearsals, trips to the hospital and life in general, the blog got neglected but more on that in my upcoming posts.

Can we talk about this gorgeous top though?! I shot the look from the balcony of my hotel in Phuket, Thailand which had the perfecct backdrop of colorful building in the vicinity. I remember hating the feeling of off shoulder tops falling off your shoulder back in the day so I never wore them growing up. Now that the trend is back in full force, I am completely here for it. I guess that’s why they say never say never because your taste definitely changes as the years go by.

When I received this fabulous top from SheIn, it was love at first sight. Not only am I a fan of the stripes, the embroidered details make this top a chic item that can pair well with so many bottoms. I adore the unexpected detail of the splits on the front and both sides. I would recommend this look for summer barbecues, brunches and any casual event you want to be comfortable and cute for. You can also pair it with shorts and I imagine that it would also look fabulous with anything white. Please note that it may be wise to size up as the elastic band around the shoulders is a bit tight.

I must mention that I’ve had great luck so far with SheIn pieces. It seems that it is a hit or miss for many people but from personal experiences, I can’t complain. What I have to say though is that many Chinese sites cater to smaller women so from what I hear, it doesn’t offer a wide variety of sizes. But if you’re on the petite side and are looking for affordable and trendy pieces, I recommend SheIn. At least we know for a fact that they are not a scam.
