When I come across something exciting, funny, or even educational, I can’t wait to share it with my family and friends. And for the past 5 years, once I share with my real life family, I also can’t wait to share with my digital family. So here’s this hilarious poem by Wolfgang Riebe that I stumbled upon, that not only made me laugh but made me think:
“There are only two things to worry about,
either you are healthy or you are sick.
If you are healthy, then there is nothing to worry about.
But if you are sick there are only two things to worry about,
either you will get well or you will die. If you get well,
then there is nothing to worry about. But if you die,
there are only two things to worry about,
either you will go to heaven or to hell.
If you go to heaven, then there is nothing to worry about.
And if you to go hell, you’ll be so darn busy shaking hands with your friends you won’t have time to worry.”
Although the title of this post tells you that there are only two things you should worry about in life, I hope you’ve been reminded and encouraged not to worry about anything at all. The anxiety you get from worrying can only make you sick and it has no power to change the situation that worries you. With that said, when life is weighing you down, make a conscious decision to bring your concerns to the altar and trust that God will handle it – whatever your ‘it’ may be. He can take care of anything but He waits for your faith to activate his power. Will you trust in Him when your back is against the wall? I will leave you with these two verses:
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:6-7

It’s a cool way to look at worrying right? If you can’t change it, just accept it and move on… easier said than done but also a lot less stressful.
