10 Haitian influencers you should follow on Instagram

This post has been in my drafts for about a year but I never got around to sharing it. In this current climate where melanated voices are being amplified, I wanted to shed some light on these beauties  who are of Haitian decent, like myself. They are bloggers, vloggers, influencers but their talents don’t stop there. Some of these ladies are also mothers, wives, photographers, small business owners, travel experts and so much more. If you enjoy following me, then you’ll definitely enjoy checking out and supporting these talented beauties!

  1. The gorgeous Wilonda of @imported_chocolate. She is also a digital content creator and small business owner who also has a Youtube channel. It’s no wonder why she’s so many people’s body goals with her toned chocolate self. She also shares workout videos every once in a while.

  2. Lisa of @lisaalamode is a writer, creator, mother of two handsome boys, fashion lover and beauty addict. Currently based in Massachusetts, she holds a master of fine Arts in writing and shares all things beauty and lifestyle on her perfectly curated IG feed.

  3. Ellarie is a self proclaimed mommapreneur and her daughter Zara AKA yoshidoll is also a content creator and Youtuber. Her makeup game is absolutely on point. I was following her for a while before realizing that she was of Haitian descent. She did a collaboration with Colorpop and named one of her lipsticks ‘renmen’ which means love in Creole and that’s when I discovered she was half Haitian. So proud of all she’s accomplished.

  4. Wendy of @ohwendyoh is who I live out my traveling fantasies from. She is the true definition of a wanderlust and her hair looks absolutely amazing. If you need natural hair tips, definitely follow her. She’s also a newlywed.

  5. Lissa of @iamplusblog is soooooo gorgeous. Her photoshoots always take my breath away. If you enjoy plus size fashion inspiration, faith and women empowerment, then Lissa is your girl.

  6. Débora of @msnerdychica_ is the definition of elegant. Her style is colorful, feminine and totally classy. If feminine & elegant looks are your thing, then you’ll love Débora’s youtube channel and IG feed.

  7. Jennifer of @jenjeanpierre is a new mom and talented photographer. Her eye for photography is absolutely amazing and her creativity when making videos simply blow my mind. She says she’s a tomboy who likes to play dress up and we are totally here for it.

  8. Maria of @bellarosablog says she’s figuring out her 20’s one cup of coffee at a time and I think she’s doing a very good job! Her perfectly curated IG feed is totally goals and I also enjoy her IG stories.

  9. Jasmine Rose of @msjasminerose is also a NYC based Youtuber. She is vegan and shares her gorgeous natural hairstyles with her followers. She had locs and after getting married, she decided it was time to let her natural tresses loose. In 2019, she was featured in a campaign with Ulta beauty and her picture was plastered in stores all across the US stores. I was so proud ๐Ÿ™‚

  10. Last and certainly not least is sister duo Shelcy and Christy of @nycxclothes. I believe they came to the US after the earthquake and have been killing the fashion fame ever since. In addition to being digital creators, they are writers and brand consultants. I met them in 2019 at a blogger event and not only were they so chic in their perfectly tailored suits, they were also super nice and helpful.

These ladies all bring something different to the table but one thing they all have in common is that they are creative, unique and (hopefully) love being Haitian. I encourage you to click on their names above and check out their IG feeds and if you like what you see, give them a follow and engage with them. As I always tell you, liking, commenting, sharing are easy ways to support your favorite content creators so engage with them. Not only does engagement helps to keep them encouraged, it also helps them secure brand partnerships which is how they feed their families.

I’m so ready to relax for the weekend and knock out some of next week’s blog posts as well. I hope you’ve enjoyed this full week of consistent content and if you missed any of my earliest posts, here’s a recap:
How to effectively manage your time
I almost gave up and then this happened…
Will you still be obedient when no one is applauding?
How to maximize your wardrobe
Thank you so much for reading and if you have any blog post suggestions you’d like to share, don’t hesitate to leave them in the comments section below.
Until next time beauties.

PS: It doesn’t hurt to get inspiration from women who look like us so if you’d like even more stylish influencers to follow, I also have a video on my channel where I talk about the myths around wearing colors and the Youtubers who unapologetically do so and still look fly. You can watch it below:
